Pat Swan
Pat Swan is responsible for the Boxing curriculum at our academy. After winning several Toughman Contests and the Houston Golden Gloves, Pat went on to become a world ranked Professional Boxer in the super middleweight division. Pat has had 35 Professional bouts and has fought all over the world against the best competition including 5 world champions and multiple top 10 contenders. Pat went on to attain a 16-5-3 (12 of his wins are by knockout!) record as a Professional Boxer.
Pat has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and coaching (K-12) and is a full time Physical Education teacher in the Katy school district. His position as a Physical Education teacher and his vast experience in the ring have given him the necessary tools to help his boxing students excel.
Romelle Agra
Martial Arts Experience:
•Romelle has been training most of his life, primarily in Muay Thai, almost non-stop since 1979.
•Trained in JKD & Kali
since 1997
•Train in many arts over the years such as: Yaw-Yan, Kung-Fu, Japanese Karate, and TKD
Personal Accomplishments:
•Worked the last 12 years as a physical therapist in various settings, such as sports medicine, work hardening, acute care, acute rehab, skilled nursing facilities and long term acute care facilities.
•Assisted in teaching self-defense for Houston Community College system.
Romelle was born in the Philippines and came to America when he was 7 years old. Growing up in New York City and New Jersey made Romelle all too familiar with adversity and difficulties, and this is where his training in martial arts took root. After high school, he came to Texas with his family and has been honing his Muay Thai skills ever since in Muay Thai. Romelle's training style involves a cerebral approach. "You have to be a tactical, strategic and thinking fighter," he says.
Jason Soliz

•Senior at Stephen F. Austin High School and member of speech and debate team
•Plans to attend college and become a Social Studies/ History Teacher and obtain a minor in business marketing
At the age of 13 Jason began competing in men's divisions submitting opponents 10 to 15 years older than himself. His technique and maturity helped him work hard and either defeat or match his opponents. Not only is Jason a terror on the mat, but he has been teaching almost as long as he has been competing. When Jason is not in the gym training he's busy either playing guitar or studying for school as Jason will be a 2008 High School Graduate..
Ricardo Talavera
Martial Arts Experience:
•Blue Belt in BJJ under Eric Williams & Hai Nguyen
•Trained 2 years in SanShou (Chinese Kickboxing)
•MMA fighter under Eric Williams & Hai Nguyen 1-0 record. Made debut at the lonestar Beatdown 2 and won in 46 sec.
Personal Accomplishments:
•Native of Caracas , Venezuela . Bi-lingual in Spanish and English. •Degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University
•Currently working as a Software Consultant.
•Played since a very young age to first years of college. Walk-on as a freshman and made WVU baseball team.
•Major leagues baseball tryouts and practice invitations with Marlins, Expos, and Astros Baseball camps. Went on and practiced with Astros and Marlins.
Ricardo's athleticism is complemented with his need to intellectually break down and understand what he is doing in martial arts. Like solving a difficult engineering equation step by step Ricardo likes to break his game down to its simplest form. He passes on his knowledge to his students in easy manageable steps.
John "Coconut" Alfeche
Martial Arts Experience:
•Blue belt (3 stripes) in BJJ under Eric Williams & Hai Nguyen
•Trained in Muay Thai since 2002.
•Competed in numerous amatuer kickboxing and san shou tournaments.
•Has been training in martial arts since the age of thirteen.
•Brown belt in kenpo.
•Has competed and won submission grappling and bjj tournaments
•Looking forward to competing in more competition whether its bjj or mma.
Personal Accomplishments:
•Recently graduated with a BS in Biology at the University of Houston and is applying to Pharmacy school at UH.
•Currently an assisant manager at Hollister Co. in Willowbrook Mall
John looks forward to meeting new people especially when it comes to his passion which is BJJ or MMA. John's philosophy in life is that there is something to learn from anyone who is willing to work.
John's active and constant learning style of MMA allows him to be a perfect instructor that is constantly moving and learning the NEW techniques to pass on to his students.

Cookie's love for BJJ and competition doesn't stop him from giving back to the future classes of Elite MMA - The Kids. "I love working with and teaching children the basics and fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I can honestly say that teaching the kids is the highlight of my day. I enjoy helping the children out on and off the mat."
