Frost Murphy

Frost Murphy is a native Houstonian with athletics in his blood. Baseball, soccer, basketball, football, swimming, you name it, he played it growing up. After never scoring a point in his 4 years of basketball and actually scoring a point for the opposite team in soccer, he decided to give it up and join the track team. Frost quickly discovered he was not the fastest kid on the team, and in an attempt to get out of running he decided to go after the field events. He was too skinny for the shot and disc and had didn’t have much regard for his safety, so he decided to give the Pole Vault a try. As it turns out he was good at it and by process of elimination football and track became his two best sports. In high school he went on to be an all district football player and a three time district champion pole vaulter. At 155lbs, he was the smallest linebacker to start in  Texas 5-A football his junior and senior years. Lacking the size play at a division 1 university, he gave up on his football dream to Pole Vault at Texas Tech University .

The summer before attending Texas Tech, Frost was introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Until this point Frost’s martial arts experience was limited to watching The Karate Kid and various Kung-Fu and Van Dam movies. At first, Martial Arts sounded strange, but after getting rolled up into a pretzel by his first instructors, Eric Williams and Hai Nguyen he began to see the value in it.

While at Tech, Frost started off in Business   School , on the track team, training Jiu-jitsu and a member and officer in the SAE Fraternity. This was a heavy load for Frost and something had to give. He decided to give up track and pursue Jiu Jitsu and some of the social life that College has to offer. He continued his Martial Arts training with a very technical Carlos Machado Black Belt named Klay Pittman. After college Frost moved to  Rio de Janeiro , Brazil where he furthered his knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the legendary Gracie family. Shortly after Frost moved back to Houston he received his Brown belt from his original instructors Eric and Hai.

Currently Frost is a Realtor at Martha Turner Properties and is one of the top Real Estate Agents under 30 years old in the Nation. In his spare time, Frost enjoys athletics, hunting, fishing, travel and renovating older homes. To this day Frost still competes and teaches in many of the Martial Arts that Elite has to offer. Frost has not only medaled, but won many competitions at the City, State, National and World Levels. Frost has over 50 wins with a 90% submission rate in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Mixed Martial Arts competitions, making him one of the top American competitors around.
